Material Safety Statement

Earioco

Effective Date: 18 September 2025

At Earioco, we are committed to providing our customers with products that are safe, high-quality, and environmentally responsible. We recognise the importance of transparency regarding the materials used in our products, and this statement outlines the measures we take to ensure compliance with UK and international safety standards.

1. Scope

This statement applies to all products sold directly to consumers by Earioco, including but not limited to acrylic decorations, wooden crafts, jewellery and accessories, keyrings, home ornaments, and other customised gift items.

2. Materials Used

  1. Acrylic (PMMA / Perspex)

    • All acrylic materials are sourced from reputable suppliers and comply with recognised industrial quality standards.

    • Suppliers provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to confirm the absence of harmful additives.

  2. Wood and Wooden Components

    • Where possible, wood is sourced from FSC-certified or sustainably managed forests.

    • Non-toxic paints, adhesives, and finishes are used to minimise volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

  3. Metals and Alloys

    • Metals used in jewellery or decorative components (e.g. stainless steel, alloys, plated items) meet UK/EU regulations regarding lead, cadmium, and nickel release.

    • Eco-friendly plating methods are applied, with protective coatings to reduce oxidation.

  4. Coatings, Inks, and Surface Treatments

    • All dyes, printing inks, and coatings are certified safe and comply with UK and EU regulations.

    • Materials are tested to ensure they are free from restricted substances such as phthalates and heavy metals.

  5. Other Materials

    • Fabrics, leather, glass, plastics, and packaging materials are selected with safety and recyclability in mind.

    • Packaging prioritises eco-friendly, recyclable, or biodegradable materials where possible.

3. Compliance with UK & International Standards

Earioco products comply with applicable UK and international safety regulations, including but not limited to:

  • UK REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)

  • UK RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

  • EU REACH / EU RoHS (where applicable for EU exports)

  • CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, relevant to international standards)

Regular third-party testing and supplier verification are conducted to ensure compliance with restricted substance limits.

4. Safety and Care Recommendations

To maximise product safety and longevity:

  • Keep products away from extreme heat or prolonged direct sunlight to prevent warping or discolouration.

  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, sweat, or acidic/alkaline cleaning agents on metal parts.

  • Clean using a soft cloth and mild, neutral detergent only.

  • Keep small parts out of the reach of children and pets to avoid choking hazards.

5. Disclaimer

  • While Earioco enforces strict safety standards, product behaviour may vary under extreme or unintended conditions.

  • This statement reflects supplier certifications and testing available at the time of issue. Updates may be made to reflect changes in UK legislation or international regulations.

  • This statement does not replace product-specific usage instructions or safety labels, which should always be followed.
